published: Monday, April 15, 2024 13:52 UTC

The Space Weather Advisory Group (SWAG) is meeting at the Department of Commerce. They are discussing efforts to improve the ability of the United States to prepare for, mitigate, respond to, and recover from space weather phenomena. NOAA Administrator Rick Spinrad delivered remarks to the federal advisory group. Since 2021, the SWAG has gathered advice from the academic community, the commercial space weather sector, and nongovernmental space weather end users to advise the White House Space Weather Subcommittee.
