R2 radio blackout conditions occurred on 03 June due to an isolated class M9.5 solar flare from Region 4455 near the center disk in the Sun's northern hemisphere. A particle event from this flare is unlikely given the source's location, but there is a slight chance (3%) of one late in the UTC on 03 June. As of 03:25 UTC, no associated eruptions have been seen in available coronagraph imagery, but this will continue to be assessed as new data comes in. A high chance for additional M-class (R1-R2) flare activity is expected to persist through 05 June.
