Geomagnetic Storms Subside - 01 January 2016

The geomagnetic activity caused by the passage of the 28 Dec coronal mass ejection has began to subside and the near-Earth solar wind environment is returning to normal levels.
A positive polarity coronal hole in the northern hemisphere is expected to cause periods of active geomagnetic field activity (Kp=4) on 02-03 Jan.
