AR 4473 produced an M6.8 flare with an associated Type II radio sweep with an estimated speed of 380 km/s, indicating a possible subsequent CME. Analysis will begin as coronagraph imagery becomes available, but given the source location an Earth-directed component is unfavorable. A chance (40%) for additional M-class flare activity from Regions 4472 and 4473 will persist for the current three day outlook.
