Another X-flare from Another Region!

Another R3 (Strong) Radio Blackout (X2.9 X-ray flare) was observed at 15/1438 UTC (15/1038 EDT), this time from a different region!  An unnumbered region from beyond the Sun's SE limb, likely old Region 3655, produced the flare and possible associated CME. SWPC forecasters will be doing an analysis on the CME, but due to the source location, Geomagnetic impacts are not likely at Earth. Stay tuned to our webpage for updates!
